With That Red and White Stripe-Holy Cats, These Guys Are CAV

113th-Cavalry-Squadron

The 113th Cavalry Regiment has been an Iowa unit dating back to the Mexican Border Wars and the First World War.

In WWI, the Regiment served in Normandy, France, Belgium, and Holland, besides serving in Germany.  The unit chalked up over 300 days of continuous combat.  They destroyed over 500 enemy vehicles and captured more than 20,000 prisoners, but the unit was deactivated after World War II.
